I oftenly wondered if .info domains really have an great importance. In fact, I would say “Yes, they do“. To me, it seems that a good .info domain has even more value than the same .net or .org domain for example.

Why ? Well, of course, people would more easily type .info than .net just because it sounds more familiar and because they expect to find information. Type-ins chances are greater than .net or even . org ! But there is still other reasons. The low rates you can find for example at GoDaddy (2.99$ / year) make it be an easy buy for domainers. Bulk registering is even more interesting when talking about prices !

They are more easy to buy, more easy to sell and have a GREAT End-user sale potential.

So, what is this value ? It is close to .com value ? No, not a chance but 15% to 20% of .com value seems to be a good range of what to expect with generic terms and dictionary words.

And you know what ? There is still plenty of great names still available ! ;)
